Faculty

NEST Research Consultancy projects are conducted by teams of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, supervised by one or more faculty members. Faculty supervisors provide the team with guidance and ensure that the work they produce is of high quality. Project management and administrative support is provided by the Consultancy Coordinator and the NEST Administrative Officer.

Research-eligible faculty members who supervise NEST Research Consultancy projects receive a discretionary grant in exchange for their work. Faculty are also welcome to assist with projects in non-supervisory roles. All faculty members who are affiliated with Western’s Faculty of Social Science are eligible to participate.

If you are interested in supervising or assisting with a NEST Research Consultancy project, please complete our faculty survey. This survey includes questions about your research interests and skills. When projects are initiated, this information is used to identify individuals who have project-relevant experience. You may update your information at any time by submitting a new response.

If you have an existing community-based collaboration, you may be able to take advantage of the project management and administrative services offered by the NEST Research Consultancy. We are also available to help with, and partner on, funding applications. To learn more about how the NEST Research Consultancy may be able to help you, please contact the Consultancy Coordinator, Emily Nielsen, at enielse6@uwo.ca or 519-661-2111 ext. 87961.
