Students & Postdoctoral Fellows
The NEST Research Consultancy provides graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with unique opportunities to apply their skills outside of academia by working on applied, community-based research and evaluation projects. All graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are affiliated with Western’s Faculty of Social Science are eligible to participate. Project availability fluctuates throughout the year and projects vary in terms of duration, scope, and topic. Work on all projects is paid.
If you are interested in participating, please complete our graduate student and postdoc survey. This survey includes questions about your research interests and skills. When projects are initiated, this information is used to identify individuals who have project-relevant experience. You may update your information at any time by submitting a new response.
Undergraduate Students
The NEST Research Consultancy is primarily geared toward graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. However, undergraduate students have been involved in past projects as volunteers and through the Western Undergraduate Summer Research Internship (USRI) program. If you would like to learn more about how undergraduate students may participate in the NEST Research Consultancy, please contact the Consultancy Coordinator, Emily Nielsen, at enielse6@uwo.ca or 519-661-2111 ext. 87961.
