David Armstrong is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, and Canada Research Chair in in Political Methodology. This is the only political science CRC in Canada focused exclusively on quantitative methodology. As such, Western has a comparative advantage and interest in promoting the study and use of quantitative methodological techniques.
Armstrong specializes in statistics and data analysis. His research spans topics from measurement and latent trait estimation to the role of non-linearity and data mining techniques in statistical models.
